SAFE Core · Driver Coaching

Events Trigger Coaching. Patterns Trigger Training.

The gap in most fleet safety programs isn’t the data — it’s the process between the data and the driver. A camera event fires. Then what? S.A.F.E. runs the whole process with no manager in the loop and no alert firehose — validated events become one coaching summary each morning, the same way for every driver, every day.

The Difference

The Coaching That Came With Your Cameras

It works one of two ways:

The Work Queue

Events pile up waiting for a manager to review them and assign coaching. Coaching happens when someone has time — which means inconsistently.

The Firehose

An alert for every event, one at a time, all day — sometimes while the driver is still behind the wheel — until drivers tune the whole thing out.

S.A.F.E. is neither.

No Management Intervention

Validated events route to coaching automatically. Nobody works a queue, nobody assigns anything. Coaching ran today whether your safety manager had time or not.

One Summary Each Morning

Every coaching item from yesterday in a single digest, read off the road — not a dozen pings during a shift.

The Workflow

How It Reaches the Driver

01

Validated First

Only events that survive validation become coaching. Drivers are never coached on trigger noise.

02

The Morning Digest

One email with yesterday’s coaching items — event details and a prompt to acknowledge. Reviewed off the road, on the driver’s time.

03

Acknowledge or Dispute

Drivers acknowledge through the portal — or dispute an event they believe was misclassified. Disputes are reviewed and resolved by the S.A.F.E. team.

Escalation

When Coaching Isn't Enough

Escalation is based on patterns — the number of events, or the number of days a specific event type occurs, within a window you configure. When a driver crosses the threshold, you choose what happens:

Automatic Retraining

The system assigns the SAFE Training course that matches the behavior category. The specific right way to do the specific thing being done wrong.

Management Notification

Managers are alerted that a driver hit the threshold. The fleet decides what happens next.

Off

Coaching continues without escalation.

The setting applies fleet-wide. Every driver is held to the same standard, and the record reflects uniform enforcement — not ad hoc decisions someone has to explain later.

The Record

Every Interaction Is on the Record

Every notification, acknowledgment, dispute, escalation, and completion carries a timestamp. For the manager, that’s the answer to “is this driver getting better.” For everyone who might ever ask — an underwriter, an auditor, a courtroom — it’s a program you can prove, produced automatically by the process itself.

Coaching Without a Process Is Just Talking

If your fleet coaches drivers inconsistently — or documents the coaching inconsistently — the gap shows up when it matters most: at renewal, at audit, at deposition. S.A.F.E. closes that gap.
